Riding a Trike is an unforgettable experience, not only for the driver, but also for the passengers. The trikes carry a maximum of three people (though a family of four can be accommodated), and can be driven by anyone that has a driving licence for a car. Riding a trike is a safe experience that offers a different view of Fuerteventura. All drivers are given a brief introduction at the start of the tour, and the first checkpoint, a short distance into the tour, allows everybody to tell the guide that they are amazed how easy the trikes are to ride.
Fuertetrike offer different tours.
Route 69 at 69 Euros per trike
This is the taster tour. The length of the route is around 69 kms in length, either from Caleta to Betancuria and back, or from Corralejo to El Cotillo and back.
The Normal Tour at 175 Euros per trike
This tour lasts for more than six hours, allowing time to stop off at a beach for about an hour, as well as time to take in the magnificent scenery at many of the island's viewpoints. On this tour you can bring your own picnic or you can buy a sandwich and enjoy a sociable lunch hour with the rest of the tour group.
There are a couple of choices of route for this tour. The routes are about the same length, but visit different parts of the island. The choice of route is up to the people taking the tour, and the route is agreed before you set off.
All the tours have a maximum of six trikes on the tour, and each trike can carry a maximum of three people. If you are a family of four , there is a spare seat on the guide's trike, and the smallest member of the family usually regards being driven by the guide as a special treat.
